Our home was on the market less then one week before we received an acceptable offer, and we received numerous showings. I have seen the inventory of spec homes dry up from the flood of homes that were on the market in December 2007. Months ago builders were offering huge price reductions and incentives and those days for the most part are gone. This is a good sign for those trying to sell their current home; buyers are no longer able to get deals that would keep them from looking at new construction. There is an abundance of existing homes on the market, and if you are trying to sell, your home must be in tip top shape and show like a model, otherwise your chances of selling are greatly reduced. McKinney continues to grow, and I believe that the recent rate cuts and desirability of our city is a key factor.
