Plans to build a 9-acre park with a splash pad along Brookstone Drive are moving forward as the Planning and Zoning Commission approved a site plan Tuesday night.The park will be located at the northeast corner of Hudson Crossing and Brookstone Drive. Construction is slated to begin in 2008.McKinney resident Jerry Alexander said in the public hearing that he wanted to ensure the green space in the park will be continually mowed.“When you build the park, please keep the land mowed. It’s been an eyesore and it doesn’t stay mowed. I really want it to be a beautiful part of the city,” Alexander said.Full story...
