Use it,” Tucker David said.The city currently broadcasts every regular council meeting on the McKinney Vision cable TV channel on the city’s Web site, www.mckinneytexas.org.When asked if he would support funding a performing arts hall in the Adriatica in the Stonebridge Ranch community in McKinney, Huff said that he couldn’t not answer the question because he hasn’t seen a proposal, drawing or analysis about the project, other than an article in the newspaper.Tucker David said she wants to learn more about the proposed arts hall before saying that she would vote yes or no for funding the hall.“It is important for your leadership to make informed decisions. As that leader, I will do my homework, weigh and consider what the citizens of McKinney want, and check my decisions against the larger scope of ‘What’s the plan for McKinney in the long term?’ before I commit to any snap judgments,” Tucker David said.Jeff Blackard, who owns The Blackard Group that is managing the Adriatica, has said that he wants the city to fund a performing arts hall in the Adriatica.The 2008-2009 preliminary budget will be much tighter than those of recent years, and Huff or Tucker David will jump right into the process, since the budget must be approved in September.See full story here...
