McKinney City Council got a glimpse of what the interchange at U.S. 75 and State Highway 121 will look like in 2011 during a special workshop meeting Monday.Representatives of the North Texas Tollway Authority presented a very preliminary schematic of what the interchange could look like. The council members took no action on the presentation as it was their first time to see the schematic, which will be changed over the next few years until the details are finalized.Mayor Pro Tem Thad Helsley had concerns about the Eldorado Parkway exit in the northbound lanes of U.S. 75 being moved farther south from where it is currently located on the schematic. He was concerned about people having immediate access from U.S. 75 to Eldorado Parkway and onto the Frontage Road. He was also concerned about people having access to the Westin Hotel, the convention center, the Collin County Community College Higher Education Center and Administration Building and 35 restaurants and retail stores that will be built at the northeast corner of U.S. 75 and SH 121 in the Bridge Street Town Centre.
