Heavy rains and thunderstorms in Texas have had an adverse effect on many outdoor activities usually enjoyed during the summer.Matt Mitchell, head golf professional at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club, said the weather has kept many golfers from enjoying some leisurely rounds of golf.“It’s definitely affected rounds,” Mitchell said. “Rounds in May and June are down by 25 percent.”Mitchell said the number of members and guests on the course has been low in the past month or so because of the storms.
