Finally made a visit to Rick’s Chophouse in downtown McKinney, and what a surprise! We were able to obtain a reservation for 8:30 on Saturday night. You would never know that you were in downtown McKinney when you enter the bar area, you would think you were in an upscale chophouse in North Dallas or Plano. We waited in the bar about 30 minutes before the hostess took us to our table. I tried the blackened sirloin with the whipped potatoes and buttermilk biscuits, and my guest had the filet. Both the filet and the sirloin were delicious and the service was great. If you like a good steak, I would recommend giving Rick’s a try; and make sure you reserve well in advance.
